The theme for April is all about giving back to the Earth. How can your tree care company give back? How can you show clients you have a sustainable way of keeing the Earth green?

Discuss and outline a service that you offer. Don't reinvent the wheel - copy language from your website (condense it down for a post!) and include that link from your website page within the post! Direct people to your website to learn about more of the services you offer and include contact information for your business.

When it comes to trees and spring, it is a good idea to start looking at them now. Our #TreeTipTuesday is to make sure you inspect your trees. 

In addition to any damage you see, hire a tree care company to prune away dead, damaged, or diseased limbs. 

Are you subscribed to arborist news on Google? Please do so now. There are thousands of publications and articles to choose from. Many of our clients have found that subscribing to news alerts saves them the time from scoping the internet for an article to post.

Pro Top: When you find multiple articles you like, save them all! I keep an abundance of articles linked in a draft in my email. That way, if I'm struggling the day of to find an article I like, I can circle back to the saved ones and post one of those. Just be sure to check dates - you don't want to be posting something from more than 6 months ago!

Additionally, you could simply share holiday safety tips depending on the time of year. Or, if your area is experiencing bad weather, share an article on that and discuss tree safety during the inclement weather.

Share your post on springtime pruning to your story. Build up to the story share by using a few poll questions in the slides prior. Repurpose the content by asking followers if they have experienced any bad pruning jobs.

Take a screenshot of your IG feed when you first started your account. Then take a picture of the most recent photos on your photo. Share them to your IG story for the "IG Feed Challenge." You could include Before/After, Then/Now to let followers see how far your feed has come. Encourage others to share their feeds and tag them in this photo!

Rather than doing a post today, repurpose your post into an Instagram story. Share the testimonial and try to tag the individual if they have Instagram. On the next slide, take the opportunity to explain your sales process - what the client can expect, how the estimating process works, the day of the job, etc. The more you can expand upon why the individual gave you a positive review, the more insight you are giving potential clients into what working with you is like.

Celebrate the Administrative Professionals at your company! Introduce them and discuss how they help your company function. Share a quote from them on why they enjoy their job and how they work to give back to your community.

Describe a client service that you are providing during this time. Explain why this is an essential service and how this can benefit the client.

Also mention the steps you are taking to ensure your employees and clients stay safe before, during, and after you perform this service.

Share your client service post to your story. 

Preface sharing your post by asking a few poll questions to your followers ahead of time. For example, if your service is about plant health care, ask your followers about whether or not their trees have shown any sign of disease, if they have ever had a company teach them about plant health care, etc. The more you can encourage your followers to interact with you the more engagement you will have on your social channels.

When checking trees in spring, be sure to inspect the root area for amount of water. Without sufficient moist soil, trees will suffer during growing season.

Deep watering prevents weak surface roots from forming and encourages the growth of robust roots underground.

If you have an irrigation system inspect it for any leaks or clogged spray heads or drippers. 

As trees grow, use more water less often. Approximately 10 gallons for each inch of trunk diameter.

Build a "Did you know?" Instagram Story. Come up with 2-3 questions that followers or clients may not know about your tree care company. It could be from services you offer to ways you give back to the community to new employees you have hired! Whatever you choose, create 2-3 stories that introduce the topic and then place a poll question that asks them to choose yes or no. By doing this, you are encouraging followers to engage with you while also alerting them to things that you want them to know about your company.

This Earth Day, we challenge you to capture our home planet through your own lens. While many events around us have been cancelled, the outdoors and nature are not! Here are some tips to get started:

• Explore the world. Climb a mountain — or a majestic tree in your own backyard. Whether big or small, find a landscape that shows what our planet has to offer.
• "Meet" your neighbors - Leave a sweet note in your neighbors' mailboxes or drop off baked goods for them. Keep an eye out for Earth’s inhabitants – human and animal alike. Whether it’s your lifelong fluffy friend or a ladybug you just met. 
• Bright mornings, sunsets and night stars. Think of how the time of day and time of year might play a role.
