Post a quick Instagram story video of your current Saturday activity. This helps keep your page front and center for the algorithm and gives your followers a look into your real life.

If you are working on a Saturday, post that too! It is another way for potential clients to see your dedication to them and how much you do for your industry.

Introduce one of your employees, explain what their role is and the value they bring to your clients, and ask them to share 3 things about themself! Examples could be:

Favorite type of tree

What brought them to the industry

What they love most about their job

Their favorite travel destination

Any hidden talent they have

Ask them to share their favorite tree quote for the graphic!

Are you subscribed to arborist news on Google? Please do so now. There are thousands of publications and articles to choose from. Many of our clients have found that subscribing to news alerts saves them the time from scoping the internet for an article to post.

Pro Top: When you find multiple articles you like, save them all! I keep an abundance of articles linked in a draft in my email. That way, if I'm struggling the day of to find an article I like, I can circle back to the saved ones and post one of those. Just be sure to check dates - you don't want to be posting something from more than 6 months ago!

Additionally, you could simply share holiday safety tips depending on the time of year. Or, if your area is experiencing bad weather, share an article on that and discuss tree safety during the inclement weather.

Build a "Did you know?" Instagram Story. Come up with 2-3 questions that followers or clients may not know about your tree care company. It could be from services you offer to ways you give back to the community to new employees you have hired! Whatever you choose, create 2-3 stories that introduce the topic and then place a poll question that asks them to choose yes or no. By doing this, you are encouraging followers to engage with you while also alerting them to things that you want them to know about your company.

Share behind the scenes of your Monday work area. What does your typical Monday space look like? Where can we find you working? Your office? On the jobsite? 

What does your desk area look like? What does your truck or gear area look like? What are the essential items you need for the morning? Do you have a favorite beverage you drink? Notebook you use? Computer program you swear by? 

Do you listen to any type of music? Do you have a TV on? Is there a specific pen you have to use?

Cooling and shading is another important tip for summer tree maintenance. Young sensitive trees should be shaded against excessive heat.

Landscaping materials such as water surfaces, structures, glass, and block walls can intensify heat stress on trees.

It is crucial that you carefully evaluate the choice of materials used in landscaping. Some materials used for mulching can also absorb heat and lead to heat stress.

Discuss and outline a service that you offer. Don't reinvent the wheel - copy language from your website (condense it down for a post!) and include that link from your website page within the post! Direct people to your website to learn about more of the services you offer and include contact information for your business.

Why do you do what you do? What motivates you to get up in the morning? Why did you choose a career in arboriculture? 

Share with your followers your reasons for doing what you do. Did you become an arborist because from the moment you could walk you were climbing trees? Did you start your business and dedicate yourself to becoming a professional to change the perception of the industry? Do you simply love trees and feel that everyone should have the same passion about their trees that you do?

The more personal items you are able to share, the more your audience will connect with you and think of you when they need tree work done.

To increase engagement, ask your followers to share why they do what they do. Ask them to share in the comments.
