While at a job site, take a few pictures of a service you offer. Try to do before and after photos to show the scope of what your company is capable of. For added information, include 3-5 bullet points of steps you took to complete the job and how you worked with the homeowner to complete the job safely and efficiently.

Rather than doing a post today, repurpose your post into an Instagram story. Share the testimonial and try to tag the individual if they have Instagram. On the next slide, take the opportunity to explain your sales process - what the client can expect, how the estimating process works, the day of the job, etc. The more you can expand upon why the individual gave you a positive review, the more insight you are giving potential clients into what working with you is like.

Has your tree care service recently won an award? Share with your followers anything your company has been honored with recently!

This could be as big as an award from a national association or as simple as a community award. Either way, let your followers know what the order was for and why it was gifted to you! 

If there was an award ceremony, be sure to share pictures from that as well!

Give followers a quick Friday send-off and share some of your ups and downs from the week.

Post a quick Instagram story video of your current Saturday activity. This helps keep your page front and center for the alogirthm and gives your followers a look into your real life.

If you are working on a Saturday, post that too! It is another way for potential clients to see your dedication to them and how much you do for your industry.

Introduce one of your employees, explain what their role is and the value they bring to your clients, and ask them to share 3 things about themself! Examples could be:

Favorite type of tree

What brought them to the industry

What they love most about their job

Their favorite travel destination

Any hidden talent they have

Ask them to share their favorite tree quote for the graphic!

The best time to prune is while trees are dormant (typically during fall and winter), yet it’s beneficial to check your trees over the summer for any dead, diseased, or damaged branches. Additionally, mature trees should be removed of any excessive weight from the ends of branches.

Discuss and outline a service that you offer. Don't reinvent the wheel - copy language from your website (condense it down for a post!) and include that link from your website page within the post! Direct people to your website to learn about more of the services you offer and include contact information for your business.

Build a "Did you know?" Instagram Story. Come up with 2-3 questions that followers or clients may not know about your tree care company. It could be from services you offer to ways you give back to the community to new employees you have hired! Whatever you choose, create 2-3 stories that introduce the topic and then place a poll question that asks them to choose yes or no. By doing this, you are encouraging followers to engage with you while also alerting them to things that you want them to know about your company.

Are you subscribed to arborist news on Google? Please do so now. There are thousands of publications and articles to choose from. Many of our clients have found that subscribing to news alerts saves them the time from scoping the internet for an article to post.

Pro Top: When you find multiple articles you like, save them all! I keep an abundance of articles linked in a draft in my email. That way, if I'm struggling the day of to find an article I like, I can circle back to the saved ones and post one of those. Just be sure to check dates - you don't want to be posting something from more than 6 months ago!

Contest time! Create a contest for your followers to participate in. Give them an incentive to participate - such as a free consultation for service or a percentage discount on a service you offer. It could even be as simple as a $15 Starbucks giftcard!

Ask your followers to share a photo of the most beautiful tree in their yard or have them post a photo of their worst tree that is in need of a little TLC. You could even choose two of the photos and create a poll for your followers to decide which one should win!

Show your social media followers how you helped one of your clients do something.

For example, let’s say you successfully removed a very large tree from their yard. You can share a post explaining how you handled the situation and the steps you took to ensure that the process went smoothly.

Or maybe you have a special technique or tool you use that cuts down on emissions or is friendly to the environment. Share what that technique or tool is and how it will benefit your other customers.

No matter what type of business or speciality you have, you can come up with a way to create a case study based on the experience of one of your customers.

Introduce one of your employees by playing 2 truths and 1 lie.

Introduce them, how long they have been with you, and what their main role with the company is. Then, ask followers to guess in the comments which statement in the photo is a lie!

Planting your trees in fall may actually be beneficial for them and you!

Some trees shed their leaves in autumn and sprout new life in the spring, but fall is actually the opportune time to plant new trees. Since temperatures are much cooler and there is much less chance of stress from sun scorch, drought or extremely high temperatures, newly planted trees get the chance to build root mass and prepare for winter dormancy this season.
